Poodle King dog portrait watercolor interpretation by Connie Moses
private collection
Sometimes animals just naturally pose themselves, like this regal poodle did, as if on a throne in the park. He was content with life at that moment, and the essence of his self-satisfaction is conveyed in this dog portrait painting.
The dog's lovely curly fur was stroked to enhance and pastel tones were added to enliven. Other useful artistic magic included painting out the inscription on the granite bench, also the owner's leg and detracting books.
